Airports

Three airports serve the National Capital Region.

• Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
• Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
• Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Train Service

Amtrak provides frequent Northeast Corridor (DC to Boston) departures and other rail service throughout the United States from Union Station, Alexandria (King Street), and New Carrollton.

Inter-City Bus Services

A variety of low-cost bus carriers provide express service from points throughout the DC area to most other major cities on the East Coast.  These services are too numerous to list here, but may be worth asking around about if you’re looking to travel on a budget.
